Yet another great seminar by Grand Master Lam Chun Fai. The
seminar was held on Wednesday the 15th March 2006
at a local sport center located in North Point/Hong Kong. The 2006 Hong Kong seminar saw hung gar
instructors and students from many different countries around the world
coming to train under the personal instruction of Grand Master Lam Chun
Fai. Practitioners from various countries including; USA,
Canada,
Italy,
Taiwan,
England,
Czech Republic
and of course Hong Kong
took part in this years seminar.
The focus of this years seminar was on Hung Gar's
famed "Fu Hok Seung Ying Kuen" (Tiger and Crane Double Shape
Fist). The seminar was conducted in a progressive manner under the
personal instructions of Grand Master Lam Chun Fai. Grand Master Lam
taught the set in sections, step by step, explaining each movement and
making corrections as the day progressed. Once every participant had a
firm grasp of all the movements taught, Lam Chun Fai sifu continued to
further explain each posture and answered the students questions,
ensuring each and everyone of the students had a good understanding of
this important form. Grandmaster Lam also went thought the practical
fighting applications and different variations of how the movements can
be used for self defense.
The 2006 seminar in Hong Kong was an enjoyable
learning experience and exciting day for all those involved. Even those
who had participated in the past seminars on the Tiger and Crane form
joined again to expand their understanding even more as well as to get
more corrections and further improve their skill.
